SEDIMENT S+ is the first filter in the LEA Ultra + water filtration system and its main function is to remove larger contaminants from the water - larger particles of microplastic, sand, silt, rust, sediment and other debris that can be present in water sources. These particles cause various diseases and affect the taste and smell of the water.

SEDIMENT S+ helps not only to protect us, but also serves to protect the other filters and the capillary membrane in the system by stopping larger particles that can clog them.

SEDIMENT S+ is made of several different materials, including polypropylene fibers with a permeability of 2 microns. The filter material is woven into a cartridge that must be replaced periodically.

SEDIMENT S+ should be replaced every 12 to 14 months, depending on the quality of the incoming water being filtered. If the water has a high level of sediment, the filter may need to be replaced more often.
